Statement of Faith

1. The Scriptures

We believe that the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate standard for all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

2. The Triune God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, having the same nature and attributes, yet distinct in their roles and relationships (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

3. God the Father

We believe in God the Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, who is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power. He is merciful, loving, and just, actively involved in the affairs of humanity. He desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 90:2; 1 Timothy 2:3-4).

4. God the Son

We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins. He was buried, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for His people. He will return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead (John 1:1, 14; Philippians 2:6-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

5. God the Holy Spirit

We believe in God the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who is fully God. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers all who believe in Jesus Christ, dwelling within every believer and guiding them into all truth. The Holy Spirit provides spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church and produces the fruit of the Spirit in the lives of believers (John 14:16-17; John 16:7-13; Galatians 5:22-23).

6. Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is a free gift from God, not a result of human works. All who repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord are born again by the Holy Spirit and become children of God, assured of eternal life (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Titus 3:5).

7. The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers, both local and universal. It exists to glorify God, edify believers, and reach out to the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper are to be observed as acts of obedience and testimonies of faith (Ephesians 1:22-23; Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

8. The Christian Life

We believe that Christians are called to live holy and godly lives, separated from sin and dedicated to God. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers are to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, manifesting the fruit of the Spirit in their daily lives (1 Peter 1:15-16; Galatians 5:22-23).

9. The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ to earth to judge the living and the dead, to establish His kingdom, and to fulfill His promises to His people. This hope of Christ’s return is a vital truth that motivates holy living and faithful service (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 22:12).

10. The Resurrection and Eternal State

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life and blessedness in the presence of God, and the lost to eternal condemnation and separation from God in the lake of fire (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15).

11. The Great Commission

We believe that all believers are called to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations, baptizing them, and teaching them to obey all that Jesus commanded. This mission is to be accomplished through the power of the Holy Spirit and with a heart of compassion and love for all people (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8).
